The fight

Mechanics

Its discord attack deals magic, ranged or melee damage at random, into the 20s.

Magic comes up most, so keep Protect from Magic on. Confusion teleports you away a short distance. Madness takes off up to four items, weapon first. A full inventory stops it, and food that leaves an item behind (guthix rest, curry, summer pies) makes it skip. Leaving one free slot means it only takes one item.

Which style: Flinching with melee is the safest solo method. Dragonhide armour helps.

Divine super combat potion(4) Boosts Attack, Strength and Defence, and holds the boost for five minutes
Blighted super restore(4)×3 Restores prayer and any stats that have been lowered. Wilderness only
Voidwaker Its special attack always hits, for 50-150% of your melee max
Looting bag Holds loot while you are in the Wilderness
Anti-venom(4) Cures venom and poison
