Other options by slot
The best melee pick for each slot and the next best options. Each percentage is the DPS you lose by swapping in just that item against Manticore.
Mechanics
The manticore charges one attack of three orbs, one tick apart.
The first two are ranged and magic in either order, and the last is always melee. From wave 9 they come in pairs. A second manticore that can see the first copies its order, and others wait 5 ticks when one fires. With Mantimayhem on, orbs hit twice at tier 1, unprotected hits venom you at tier 2, and the melee orb can come anywhere in the order at tier 3.
