Other options by slot
The best melee pick for each slot and the next best options. Each percentage is the DPS you lose by swapping in just that item against Vardorvis.
Mechanics
Vardorvis has 700 health and gets three attacks in before the axes start.
Axes fly across the arena for up to 35 plus a bleed, so run two tiles diagonally. Spikes crack the ground for up to 25, and staying near the edges keeps them down. His head fires a green cone you have to block with Protect from Missiles. His strangle traps you in tendrils you must destroy within 5 ticks. Protect from Melee cuts his normal attacks by 75%.
Which style: Slash, his weakest defence. The soulreaper axe is best, and set any weapon to its slash style.
