Mechanics
His set effect gives a 25% chance per attack to ignore your defence and your prayer.
Use Protect from Melee anyway. It blocks about 75% of his attacks, and when the effect triggers his max hit drops from 23 to 15. He's the only brother prayer can't fully stop, so bring food.
Which style: Magic. He wears melee armour, and wind spells do 50% extra.
